1. The Beginning: Innovadent, a dental clinic with over 25 years of experience, sought to strengthen its online presence. The owners recognized that while traditional advertising methods such as TV and newspaper ads were out of reach due to budget constraints, an online platform could provide a cost-effective and modern solution. Given that many businesses in Comayagua are behind in terms of digital presence, having a well-designed website would help Innovadent stand out and project trustworthiness.
2. Development: The project began with foundational research to understand the needs of the clinic and its target audience. I conducted interviews with the owners and drew upon my background in dentistry to shape the website’s content and structure. We identified three key personas: local residents familiar with the clinic, local residents unaware of the clinic, and people from outside Comayagua seeking dental services in the city. The site was developed on Wix, using principles of information architecture to create a user-friendly experience. The website featured essential sections, including the homepage, about us, services, and a blog, which has become particularly popular as it showcases patient cases and enhances the clinic’s image.
3. Conclusion: The Innovadent website is now live and actively working to boost the clinic's visibility and credibility. This project not only provided the clinic with a stronger digital footprint but also served as a valuable exercise in applying web development skills to real-world business needs. Innovadent is now better equipped to reach its audience, offering a modern and accessible platform that reflects its longstanding commitment to dental care.
